About the BCLT’s Waitlist
The BCLT holds an open waitlist for affordable rental units and homeownership opportunities.
The BCLT has grown tremendously over the last several years. We are gearing up for a more diverse selection of housing opportunities for low-income households.
HOW IT WORKS
When a BCLT unit becomes available, we reference our open waitlist for that specific type of housing. Depending on the configuration of the available unit, we go to the first waitlist applicant that meets the income and household size qualifications*.
Only complete applications are considered. Applicants must make sure that the application they submit is complete and includes up-to-date contact and income information. It is the applicant’s responsibility to contact us if their contact information changes to avoid missing housing opportunities.

In Marin County, your fair housing rights are protected by state and federal laws which say that no one may be denied the right to rent or own a home on the basis of their race or color, national origin, religion, sex, family status, or handicap. The BCLT does have certain occupancy standards depending on the dwelling and income requirements, depending on the rents.
CURRENT WAITLISTS
Our waitlist is split into five categories based on housing type to streamline the selection process and ensure applicants are only offered units that meet their needs.
If an applicant’s income or household size makes them ineligible for one of these categories, we will contact them to inform them that they currently do not qualify for the desired units. They will, however, be allowed to remain on the list so that if their income changes they do not lose their current position nor will they be required to reapply for housing.
SRO/Second units or studio spaces (available for single occupancy or up to two individuals)
One-bedroom units (available for households of no more than 3 individuals)
Multiple bedroom units (available for households of no less than 2 individuals)
